Don’t Mind the Fire
Hey everyone,
I’m pretty fascinated by how the internet affects different generations in different ways. This week’s issue is heavy with recent articles related to this topic. There’s a story about how older people are more affected by misinformation in the news, as well as a pretty concerning profile of the companies that are inadvertently giving school kids a crash course in online privacy — whether they want this or not. We also look at how college students are using Facebook purely as a way to get their hands on their future classmates’ Instagram profiles.
I hope you enjoy this week’s issue, and please let me know if you have any feedback!
Stay safe,
Rian

📖 Quote of the week
Some believe it is only great power that can hold evil in check, but that is not what I have found. It is the small everyday deeds of ordinary folk that keep the darkness at bay. Small acts of kindness and love.
